Friday Fun – Running Link Round-Up
- In my trail-running post, I mentioned it could be as easy or as hard as you wanted it to be. Ultra-runner Ray Sanchez is definitely embodying the “hard” range of ultra-running. He’s trying to complete three of the hardest 135 miles races in one calendar year.
- Hulu is streaming The Spirit of the Marathon, a movie about the motivation is takes to complete a marathon. The several runners it features have a very wide variety of goals and finishing times. This movie definitely makes me look forward to running Chicago again this year. Sadly, I did not see myself in any of the footage in the movie. For those interested, you can order the DVD also.
- This week I discovered No Meat Athlete. Check out his series about qualifying for the Boston Marathon. Congrats Matt!
- Jobless find structure, sense of control in marathon training. Interesting article, but I would add that anyone looking for a sense of control and purpose should pursue distance running.
Any other interesting running-related stories that I missed this week? List them in the comments!
